Passion Pain and Pleasure Album Review

Trey  Songz, released his fourth studio album September 14th , 2010  at the height of his Passion, Pain and Pleasure Tour. With his new hit single “Bottoms Up”, featuring Nicki Minaj tearing up the radio, the album fails to meet the same momentum. Remember when you listened to READY and instantly fell in love with every song? … Well, sorry to disappoint you, but this time it’s not the same case. Honestly I had to listen to it multiple times to distinguish the difference between most of the songs. Upon the first listen, a lot of the songs sounded the same. Excluding his two singles “Can’t be friends,” (which reminds me of the old Trey, from back in the day on JUST GOTTA MAKE IT; The Trey I fell in love with before every one jumped on the band-wagon) and “Bottoms up,” two songs did manage to catch my attention. “Love Faces,” which is mid-tempo, classic, freaky, Trey Songz at his best type of track. The other song was “Unusual,” feat Drake, which is more up-beat, and in my opinion, would have been just as great without Drake on it. Songz shows off a darker side to his music on “Unfortunate”, which tells the tale of an ex who initiated the break up, and is now with somebody even worst! All together it was a decent album at best, but a bit mediocre compared to his last album….I’ll give it a B- .

CNN Anchor Don Lemon Admits: "I Was Abused By A Pedophile As A Child"

CNN anchor Don Lemon has spoken out about being a victim of molestation when he was a young man. The revelations occurred on CNN during a segment on Bishop Eddie Long when Lemon said the alleged words of Long are similar to those he heard as a victim of pedophilia.
“I am admitting something that I have never admitted on TV...I too was a victim of a pedophile who was much older than I was as a child. The words they used of ‘you're not gay if you do this', are some of the same things my abuser said to me.”

Lemon also states that although the news was shocking, it was something that he was only able to discuss recently.
"I have never admitted that on television,” Lemon stated later in the broadcast. “I didn't tell my mom that until I was 30 years old [about the incident].”
After receiving much praise for his brave decision to come forward with his testimony, Lemon addressed viewers and fans via Twitter for their support.
"Thank you all for your kind words. I had no idea I'd say that on national tv. It just came out. Sadly, it's the truth for so many young men."

Can anyone in the HipHop world compete with Diddy?

Ciroc this, Ciroc that..Did you know Ciroc is the #2 vodka in the World..What I'm getting at here is we all know Ciroc. It's worldwide. And when you see Ciroc you think Puff Daddy, P.Diddy, Diddy, P, dot, whatever he goes by now-a-days. Well as some of you know other rappers have stepped their foot into the alcoholic beverage door. T-Pain and Lil' Wayne and a couple others backing "Nuvo", The people who started the whole thing in my generation at Rocafella backing "Armadale", and even Ludacris is to mention with "Conjure". But now there is another Hip Hop Heavyweight throwing his hat in the ring. Dr.Dre! I guess alcohol companies are starting to realize that Music moguls can sell their drink. The name of the beverage will be called Aftermath cognac. Production and distribution of Aftermath Cognac will be handled by Abecassis Cognac. Now, I'm a college student and I've had a lot of different drinks and I can go out and say Conjure is some of the smoothest Cognac I have tasted in a while, well other than Pure White Henny. After seeing that Dr.Dre was going to be coming out with his own cognac, I started thinking, how come no one wants to compete with Diddy and his Vodka? I know you’re going to endorse what you like, but with a name like Dr.Dre you can do numbers in Vodka and Cognac….I mean really Dr.Dre revamped Dr. Pepper. Hopefully all goes well but for now, look out for Aftermath Cognac.

Kanye..OK....with Obama Remarks???

Shout Out to HipHopWired....

By tffhthewriter September 22, 2010, 14:13pm

Newly reformed Rapper/super producer Kanye West penned his own cover story in XXL and in it, discussed the now infamous remark that President Obama made after the 2009 MTV VMA incident involving Taylor Swift.
In an off camera interview, President Obama was filmed calling ‘Ye a “jackass”, for interrupting Swift's acceptance speech.
Now clearly thinking, Yeezy took some time out to discuss his feelings about the remarks.
“When Obama called me “jackass”, after the Taylor incident, I thought that the [wrong] person [had] to be speaking off the record,” Ye said in the interview.  “Obama has way more important stuff to worry about than my public perception. He was trying to pass the healthcare bill. And if he said that to relate to the room or lighten the room up and the whole mood, then I'd be more than happy to be the butt of all of his jokes if it in the some way helps his overall mission. I'm a soldier of culture. I'm resilient. I'm sure I'll still beat him in basketball.”

......What a relief...For a moment there I thought Kanye was gonna spazz but its the president...I don't think he wants those problems.

Will 2011 be the Year that Jordans begin Selling out again???

As you can see the year 2011 will be a MAJOR year for the Jordan brand. This is a year that you just can't miss when it comes to Jordan’s. We know everyone wants to get their "Grown Man" or "grown Woman" on but who cares. Your open toed sandals and loafers will have to wait in the closet (or wherever you stash them) this go around. We mean really who doesn't love the line-up that the Jordan brand company has already set up? Just recently one of our staff members was debating with a female and she said who still wears Jordan’s past the age of 17??? Let’s just say the look "B*%#& are you crazy" was the expression on our member's face. We really hope this release info isn't a hoax. Can some of you even remember when's the last time yawl have even seen some of these color ways? All we can say is, if this is not a hoax and you want a pair of these "BE IN LINE EARLY"!!!

Katy Perry on Sesame St.

Just as EvilBeetGossip said "Sesame Street is like the Saturday Night Live of kids shows when it comes to celebrity guest appearances and just like the late night sketch comedy show, the guests don’t always nail their performances". Cut to Katy Perry’s segment on the show, in which she sings a kiddie version of her song “Hot Or Cold” to an indecisive Elmo.
Unlike EvilBeetGossip, We at Addiction Magazine feel as if Katy Perry did her job and performed well enough to entertain children. With all the exposure pop stars get from Kidz Bop music, its not like she had to entertain some executives at a record label. There were probably some children that where dancing around to the song and not paying Katy any attention.
The wardrobe on the other hand we can't explain (its for a different article).
Check the video out though.

G.O.O.D thing he can tell his own story

Kanye on the Cover of XXL October2010 issue

When you first heard "Power" what did you think??? When I heard it, I just knew Kanye was back in his old "I wanna rap" state of mind. He has finally come back to bless us with the music we loved him for and not that I want to kill myself music. This October Kanye West will be on the cover of XXL magazine. Word on the streets is he wrote his own article. In the article he explains the reactions he got about the Taylor Swift, Kanye wreck.
Kanye states to XXL, “I stress that the incident wasn’t about Taylor personally,” he explains in the story. “And it definitely wasn’t about race. Where I messed up is, at the end of the day, it’s your show, Taylor. It’s your show, MTV.”

“The relationship with the public and with your fans is like the relationship with your girlfriend,” he adds. “How could I not, at a certain point, be like, ‘I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have been at the awards show. I’m sorry.’ Not that I don’t deserve to get beat up or change who I am inside, to make sure that that doesn’t happen again.”

Mr. West said that, following his VMA outburst, he immediately dedicated himself to the studio. “I knew I wasn’t in a great spot publicly after the incident, but I would just block it out and work as hard as possible and let my work be my saving grace,” he shared. “In a way, I had thrown a Molotov cocktail at my own career, and it gave me an opportunity, for the first time, to go away and find out who I was. Because I felt very alone.”

If these really are Ye's words and not his publicist or any from his team then, we say, if no one has told you yet,You are forgiven Kanye. All we want is G.O.O.D music from this new album...even if you could never find a name for it.

Kid Cudi Vs. Wale.....Maybe???

I guess you can say Wale took the first shot but Mr. Rager brushed it off...Now its time to go lyric for lyric, No more turning the other cheek for Kid Cudi.
Kid Cudi graces the cover of Complex Magazine for the Oct/Nov 2010 issue
You're big on not having your music compared to anyone else's.
Kid Cudi: Did you see that Wale interview that he just did, comparing us to sports? Let me clear this up: I'm incomparable to anybody. I don't care how people take that. No one can compete with me. I'm unfuckwittable; no one can knock me off my shit. I'm an unstoppable force, I'm a bullet. My trajectory is to the sky. Niggas got to do something really spectacular to fuck with me and my realm, and niggas be so bitter that you hear it in their voice.
Speaking of Wale, when you hit that fan at your show last December, he came out with a line about it ["Throwin' 'round wallets like the dude that Kid Cudi hit," from "Thank You Freestyle"].
Kid Cudi: It wasn't a shot, it's just a simple-ass rhyme by a simple-ass rapper. You can't let that shit faze you. That's one of those raps that just shows the world that you wack. Why would you even use that as a metaphor? Everybody think they Hov. Niggas ain't got the magic like they think they do; there's only a couple of wizards in this game. I'm a wizard and I know it.
Are your peers not seeing that?
Kid Cudi: The last album, I let people dis me, throw out those jabs in their verses and have their little slick remarks. This time around, I'm not fucking around. I have no time to think about other niggas. These other motherfuckers like feeding off another nigga's energy, so they mention their name. You hear me talk about niggas? I don't even talk about Kanye, and that's my homeboy! They talk about Kanye like they're bosom buddies with this nigga. Talking about "I be in Hawaii"—man, shut the fuck up, why you got to tell everybody everything? Then people like Wale get mad that 'Ye ain't give him no beats—'Ye ain't give you no beats because we ain't fucking with your raps. It's not a conspiracy theory. We don't fuck with you musically, so we're not going to provide music for you. The shit is a service, it's a quality of a certain standard. Niggas are just so thirsty it's ridiculous. I've been eating humble pie forever, and people still call me an asshole. These people don't know my fucking life—now I'm going to give them something to talk about.
Is that the album's tone? Is it just about you going in?
Kid Cudi: It's explicit, but smart explicit. I'm not holding back. I have no regard for what people consider right or wrong. Some things I follow—like the law, from here on out. But other than that, I'm doing whatever the fuck I want to do. I'm not holding back. That's why I've been so excited about this move to L.A., because I just want to keep growing creatively, all over, as a human being.
